Hello, my name is Megan Shovestull and I’m a soon-to-be graduated journalism major at Kent State University. While my focus is mainly writing stories, I’ve also enjoyed the number of multimedia opportunities I’ve had during my time at Kent State.

This environmental investigations class has offered me a chance to grow a lot as a journalist. I’ve truly loved getting to learn even more about the Cuyahoga river, especially as someone who has lived near it my whole life.

After graduation I hope to find a position where I get the chance to write in some way or another. If given the chance, I would love to write about the arts, culture and entertainment, all things I am quite passionate about. A long term goal of mine would be to write a novel, which has been a dream of mine since childhood.

Outside of school, you can usually find me near my rescue pup Rosie, mostly likely watching a new show or movie with a caffeinated beverage of some sort.
