Hello everyone! I am a senior journalism and digital media production major at Kent State University.
I currently work as a marketing intern for coding bootcamp We Can Code IT, as well as a digital media strategist for the nonprofit organization The Body A Home For Love. I have previously interned with both the Cleveland Film Commission and Flashstarts micro-vc firm.
One of my passions is telling stories in multiple mediums. I am currently in production of my senior documentary project Gardens, a conversation among black women about their resiliency and the hardships they endured. My previous work includes the short film Whipped Cream and audio story Girls Impact the World Film Festival Contestants.
I am a founding member of Kent State University’s first Female Filmmakers Initiative and I am the producer for our upcoming film.
In addition to telling stories, my passions include music, fashion, social justice, art, travel, and community outreach.
It is my goal to create impact through my work. I hope to tell the stories of those whose voices are underrepresented. Post-graduation I plan to continue a career in filmmaking by producing films independently, as well as working to establish my own digital platform and clothing company dedicated to women entrepreneurs.
